The staff of the Suffolk Surgery Center would like to welcome you to our facility. The information contained on our website will provide you with a basic understanding of what you can expect as a patient undergoing a surgical procedure in an out patient setting.

Today, thanks to the many advances in surgical technology and anesthesia techniques, more and more surgical procedures are being performed in the outpatient setting and do not require admission to a hospital. These procedures can be performed on the same day, allowing the patient to recover in the comfort of their home and return to their normal activities quickly. Whether or not a patient can have outpatient surgery is determined by your physician and is based on your specific condition and overall health status. For surgeries that are appropriate in an outpatient surgery center, the benefits include:
